we understand your skepticisim about giving, we really do. that's why we are transparent in how we handle gifts we receive. integrity is crucial to us, honesty and being "real" are equally important, so we will strive to uphold strict standards and guidelines to earn & maintain your trust in us.
With that said, our financial integrity is above reproach. The money received does not pad the pockets of anyone but goes to further our mission in O4W.
Where does peculiarplace get its money?
Our support comes from people who tithe (giving back to God 10% of earnings) and from the free-willed offerings of attendees and supporters. It is normal for anyone that calls peculiarplace "home" to support the church financially. We do not have a few individuals funding everything.
Do you have high accounting standards?
Yes. West Ridge Church oversees all our financial matters. You will find that all monies are managed with integrity at peculiarplace.
In what ways can we give?
Great question! Obviously, we are set up to take financial donations, tithes & offerings online. You may also send a check, or money order to peculiarplace, attn: lloyd owens, 3522 Hiram-Acworth Hwy Dallas, GA 30157. make all checks and money orders payable to West Ridge and place "peculiarplace" on the memo section. You may also send gift cards to the above address. Gift cards will be used in support of pastor lloyd and his family. You at the same time can GIVE YOUR TIME, TALENTS, GIFTS & IDEAS. With the things we have planned until our launch we are going to need all of you to help us succeed. Join our team!! If you by chance have a vehicle, land, houses or apartments that can be donated, we welcome those tangible things as well. We plan to meet the needs of THIS community and will use whatever we can to do!
Why does peculiarplace give things away?
We are a church. We invest in people. We are not simply a business trying to increase its bottom line. We give away bibles, coffee, curriculum, books, CDs, food, and other gifts including major donations because we follow the example of a generous God. Giving is a way of life, it is who we are!
